Personal Bio:
I grew up near Oklahoma City in a town called Edmond. I was lucky enough to go to the same set of schools from K until 12, and even attended college in the same town for two years after graduation from high school in 1990.
I moved to Houston, Texas in 1994, and finished my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Geology in 1998 at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. I was married the same year, and we moved to McAllen, Texas where I began work as a substance abuse counselor for the Texas Department of Corrections.
My wife and I moved back to Houston in 1999 and I began working as a community outreach coordinator for Montgomery County from 1999 until 2001. I began teaching at Marshall Middle School as a Special Education Resource teacher in the fall of 2001 and have worked at Marshall ever since.
I began my masters in education administration in 2008 and finished in May, 2010 and obtained my Principal's Certification.
I have two daughters, 10 and 8 years old who attend school in Spring, Texas.
